The Europa League group stages concluded on Thursday evening as West Ham United won their group at a canter and already look like one of the favorites as the presence of Barcelona side will be felt in this competition for the first time in two decades.

The draw takes place on Monday December 13, 2021 at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

The games between the runners-up and the Champions League drop-outs take place between February 17 and February 24.

The round of 16 draw will then be completed on February 25 before the games run between March 10 and March 17.

This season, the eight group winners will progress into March’s round of 16 automatically.

The eight teams who finished second in their groups will then play the eight teams who finished third in their Champions League group, with those games taking place in February, in a bid to join the group winners in the round of 16.

Group winners: Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco, West Ham, Spartak Moscow, Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Red Star Belgrade

Group runners up: Real Betis, Rangers, Real Sociedad, Napoli, Olympiacos, Lazio, Braga, Dinamo Zagreb

Champions League drop-ins: RB Leipzig, Porto, Borussia Dortmund, Sheriff Tiraspol, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Barcelona, Villarreal, Sevilla

Premier League champions Manchester City begin their 2021/22 season under way at Tottenham Hotspur when the new season kicks off on the weekend of August 14.
