Atalanta are making their first ever Champions League and are one game from the quarter finals. The Italian side travel to Valencia with a 4-1 lead and they began the competition with three defeats and 11 goals conceded and looking on their way out of the competition. They earned seven points from their last three games to reach the knock-out stages. The first leg saw them score four goals in the first 62 minutes and winning it by 4-1. They put seven past Lecce and come into this game having won five of their last six competitive matches.
Valencia qualified from a tough group finishing top ahead of Chelsea and Ajax. They are only one win in the last seven matches. Home form has seen them win three of their last four, including a victory over Barcelona. Only one of their three home Champions League games have been won this season. They beat Lyon but lost to Ajax and drew with Chelsea but need a win to get through to the next round.
Atalanta fans weren’t that optimistic of reaching the last eight when failing to win any of their first four games. They have made a great recovery since then and come into this second leg with a three goal advantage.
