When Is The UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw?

The draw for 2022/23 Champions League Group Stage draw is scheduled to take place on Thursday 25th August in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Group Stages begin on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th of September and conclude on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd of November. 

Matchday One: Tuesday 6th/Wednesday 7th September 2022

Matchday Two: Tuesday 13th/Wednesday 14th September 2022

Mathday Three: Tuesday 4th/Wednesday 5th October 2022

Matchday Four: Tuesday 11th/Wednesday 12th October 2022

Matchday Five: Tuesday 25th/Wednesday 26th October 2022

Matchday Six: Tuesday 1st/Wednesday 2nd November 2022

Pot 1: Manchester City, Real Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, PSG, Porto and Ajax. 

Pot 2: Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, RB Leipzig and Tottenham Hotspur 

Pot 3: Borussia Dortmund, RB Salzburg, Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter Milan, Napoli, Sporting Lisbon, Bayer Leverkusen and TBC. 

The World Cup final takes place on December 18 and Premier League action will resume eight days later on Boxing Day, Monday, December 26. The final round of Premier League matches, to be played on May 28, 2023, will kick off simultaneously as is customary.

Pot 4: Club Brugge, Celtic, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC, TBC and TBC. 

The draw for the first knockout stages is scheduled to take place on Monday 7th November with those fixtures happening across February and March 2023.
