The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022. The competition will be held for the 22nd time, and it will be the first time in the Arab globe.

Enock Mwepu, a Brighton midfielder, was forced to retire at the age of 24 owing to a hereditary cardiac problem.

The World Cup group stage draw took conducted on April 1, 2022, in Doha, Qatar, to set the stage for the competition.

In June, the final three qualification spots were filled, with Wales, Australia, and Costa Rica rounding out the 32-team field.

The group phase will be played from 20 November to 2 December. The knockout phase will begin with the Round of 16 from 3-6 December.

The quarter-finals will be played on 9 and 10 December, with the semi-finals on 13 and 14 December. The play-off for the third place will unfold on 17 December, one day before the final.
