News just in: Neymar Allegedly Accused of Rape…

Neymar, strongly denied an accusation against him that he raped a woman in Paris.

According to a police report filed in São Paulo, the woman in question said apparently the attack took place in a hotel in back in Paris, where Neymar plays for Paris St-Germain.

Neymar’s management put out a statement saying the footballer “completely renounced” the accusation.

Neymar at the moment is in Brazil training with the national team for the Copa América which is set to take place in Brazil from 14 June to 7 July, with the hosts taking on Bolivia, Venezuela and Peru in Group A.

According to police documents, the woman got to know Neymar on Instagram and he suggested for a meet up in Paris later on he bought an air ticket from Brazil to France and a reservation at the Hotel Sofitel Paris Arc Du Triomphe.

When Neymar came to the hotel on 15 May, he was “apparently drunk,” and “at some point, became aggressive, and engaged in sexual intercourse against her will,” the police document states.

The footballer’s father, Neymar dos Santos, told Band TV in Brazil on Saturday that “it is clear that it was a trap and will show Neymar’s WhatsApps conversations with this girl.

He was stripped of the captaincy of Brazil, following recent disciplinary issues.

French football authorities banned him for three matches after he hit a fan following PSG’s defeat by Rennes in the Coupe de France final last month.

He was also allegedly involved in a dressing room brawl.
