Newcastle United vs Burnley betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Newcastle are getting sucked into a relegation zone after they were beaten 1-0 at Selhurst Park by Crystal Palace. That’s now back to back defeats since their winter break following a 4-0 lose at Arsenal six days earlier.

Steve Bruce’s side have won just one of their nine Premier League games since Christmas. They’ve only fallen from ninth to 14th with seven points above danger.

Second half goals from Matěj Vydra, Jay Rodriguez and Dwight McNeil saw Burnley beat Bournemouth 3-0 at Turf Moor.

Sean Dyche’s side have 13 points from the last 15 available, beating Leicester, Manchester United and Southampton and drawing with Arsenal. If they win this weekend it’ll mean that they’ll go six unbeaten in the Premier League for the first time since February 2019.

Goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka has made 114 saves in the Premier League.

Valentino Lazaro has been really poor in his two appearances and was sent off late on last weekend. He is suspended and DeAndre Yedlin is likely to come back in with Javier Manquillo and Emil Krafth injured.

Fabian Schär and captain Jamaal Lascelles are likely to retain their places.
