Last season, Liverpool won the Premier League, ending their 30-year wait for a league title. They finished 18 points clear of Manchester City and won the title the earliest in English top-fight history, with seven games remaining.

The Reds also won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in 2019. They took on Arsenal in the FA Community Shield at Wembley.

The Gunners took the lead but, late on Takumi Minamino equalised to force a penalty shootout. Who became the first Liverpool player ever to score their first goal for the club at Wembley.

Mo Salah, Fabinho, Minamino and Curtis Jones all scored but Rhian Brewster’s miss was costly as Arsenal won 5-4.6

2019/20 was also a historic season for Leeds United who gained promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since relegation way back in 2004.

The Premier League transfer window runs from July 27 to Oct. 5 in the summer, and most clubs will want their squads sorted before the 2020-21 season kicks off on Sept. 12.

They suffered a defeat to Derby County in the play-offs but won automatic promotion this time around. And ended the season as Championship Champions, finishing ten points clear of runners-up West Bromwich Albion.

Having won three top division titles, most recently in 1992, as well as an FA Cup, a League Cup and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, Leeds are one of the biggest clubs in England.

Only Dick Advocaat, will be looking to preserve Leeds’ impressive record on Premier League opening weekends.

They have never lost their first Premier League game of the season, unbeaten in all 12 they’ve played.
