England XI vs Italy: Predicted lineup, latest team news, squad, injury update for Euros final
June 16, 2021

Finland can all but book their place in the last 16 of Euro 2020 when they travel to Krestovsky Stadium in St Petersburg to face Russia in Group B.

A second-half Joel Pohjanpalo strike gave Finland a win against Denmark at the weekend, meaning they’re now heading from qualifying for the European Championship knockout rounds in their first appearance at the tournament. Stanislav Cherchesov’s side were brushed aside 3-0 by Belgium with a Romelu Lukaku. As a result, this game is now a must-win affair for Russia.

  • Finland (vs Denmark): Hradecky; Raitala, Toivio, Arajuuri, O’Shaughnessy, Uronen; Lod, Sparv, Kamara; Pohjanpalo, Pukki.
  • Russia (vs Belgium): Shunin; Fernandes, Semyonov, Dzhikiya, Zhirkov*; Barinov, Ozdoyev; Zobnin, Golovin, Kuzyayev; Dzyuba.

Teemu Pukki was taken off with 15 minutes left against Denmark after picking up a knock meaning Kanerva can play.

Yuri Zhirkov went off injured in the first half on Saturday and is set to miss out here, whilst Daler Kuzyayev also departed early after a clash of heads with Timothy Castagne.

Euro 2020 kick-starts in June 2021 with 51 matches after the tournament was postponed last summer, due to the COVID pandemic but they will go ahead with fans in stadiums across the continent.
