The Europa League kicks off this week and on the first matchday, the biggest highlight will be the Eintracht vs Arsenal clash on Thursday.

The Gunners have been pitched in Group F of the UEFA Europa League, But Arsenal drew their previous league match vs Watford.

Eintracht have made a very good start to the 2019-20 season especially in the Europa League playoff(winning all six matches).

The Europa League has returned and matchday one between finalists and semi-finalists from last season’s competition.

Arsenal, were thrashed 4-1 in Baku by London rivals Chelsea in the 2019 final, Unai Emery’s men lost out narrowly on Champions League qualification through the Premier League before missing out at last chance saloon in Azerbaijan.

Defenders Tierney, Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding, all sidelined through injury to start the campaign are nearing full fitness and could get a look in.

Meanwhile Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson, Bukayo Saka, Tyreece John-Jules, Gabriel Martinelli, Zech Medley and Emile Smith Rowe are back to full fitness and will all hope to benefit from squad rotation.

Front three of Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette may be left out for the trip to Germany particularly given the match begins a run of three games in six days.

Frankfurt defeated Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter Milan and Benfica over two legs last season before crashing out to eventual winners Chelsea in a penalty shootout at the semi-final stage.
