Champions League Final round up: Chelsea vs Manchester City
Every year, every season the Champions League final usually marks the end of the season in the European football. This past Saturday Champions League Final went down in Porto, Portugal. The match was between Chelsea and Manchester City, it was Man City first time in the UCL finals and they were not able to beat Chelsea despite being the favorites, but seems Thomas Tuchel was determined to lift the trophy this year and his boys did him proud. Chelsea took the lead in the 42th minute where Kai Havertz rounded the keeper and scored his first champions league goal.
It was good game where Chelsea dominated in the first half and had a couple of chances which Timo Werner could not capitalized but Harvetz did that when he had his chance thanks to an amazing through pass from Mason Mount. City dominated the second half but they could not break Chelsea’s defense and they had one goal on target in the entire match.
The game had a couple of English players who displayed an amazing game and Gareth Southgate (England’s Head Coach) is going to have a tough choice in selecting his first XI in the coming Euro 2020 competition. We have the fixtures of the tournament from our previous article.
