Bournemouth vs Chelsea betting tips: Premier League match preview and predictions

Bournemouth were beaten again last weekend.

Chelsea secured a big win last weekend.

In the first half, Bournemouth thought they’d taken the lead through Josh King but the goal was ruled out for a very debatable hand-ball by Philip Billing by VAR.

Early in the second half, Burnley took the lead but Harry Wilson equaliser but a hand-ball by Adam Smith was found by VAR in the build-up so the goal was ruled out and Burnley had a penalty.

That’s now back to back defeats for Bournemouth who had won back to back games before that. The Cherries have won only three of their 16 games since 2 November and remain just two points and two places above the drop zone.

They have won four of nine Premier League meetings with Chelsea including a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge in December.

Chelsea hosted Tottenham in a crucial match in the race for the top four with goals from Olivier Giroud and then Marcos Alonso saw them to a 2-1 win.

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are the first team to beat a side managed by José Mourinho both home and away in a single league season. The Blues stay fourth, three clear of Manchester United and four above Spurs.

They look set to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Bayern Munich repeated the 2012 final which Chelsea won in Bavaria who were the side celebrating this time.

Three second half goals in 24 minutes saw Bayern leave the Bridge with a 3-0 lead.
