A report claims that Arsenal have not yet offered Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a new contract as the club captain’s existing deal continues to tick down. The Gabon international, a £56m signing from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, is set to become a free agent at the end of next season.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also supposedly interested. Aubameyang wants to win major trophies – something that Arsenal have been unable to offer him – while the Gunners cannot afford to increase his wages due to the financial impact caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Aubameyang has scored 61 goals in just 97 games for Arsenal.
