AFCON 2019 updates EA derby: Kenya vs Tanzania

The African Cup of Nations is underway in Egypt.

Matches continue to be played across the six groups here is what we know so far:

GROUP A: Egypt (Qualified) – DR Congo – Uganda (Qualified) – Zimbabwe
GROUP B: Nigeria (Qualified) – Guinea – Madagascar – Burundi
GROUP C: Senegal – Algeria (Qualified) – Tanzania – Kenya
GROUP D: Morocco – Ivory Coast – South Africa – Namibia
GROUP E: Tunisia – Mali – Angola – Mauritania
GROUP F: Cameroon – Ghana – Benin – Guinea-Bissau

Kenya vs Tanzania

Kenya earned their first win at AFCON 2019 and are now level points with Senegal, who they face on 1st July 2019. Tanzania’s chances of progressing is very slim, and they need to win against Algeria to change the stats.

Senegal vs Algeria

Algeria joins Egypt and Nigeria in the knockout stages after thrashing Senegal 1 – 0.

Madagascar vs Burundi

Madagascar registered their first win and are now in a position to qualify for the knockout stage, while Burundi have to win their last game against Guinea to make it to the round of 16.
