Manchester United and Chelsea will be focusing on the FA Cup this Sunday. They meet in the cup semi final at Wembley, with this competition Manchester United labored a win over Norwich City in the quarter finals, but generally they have had a good run in recent times, going unbeaten in 12 matches. They have won six of the eight matches since football resumed, and the other two ended in draws. In 2018, these two sides met in the FA Cup final and Chelsea won 1-0 but heading to the Sunday game. Manchester United have won each of the three meetings this season – twice in the league, and in the League Cup.
Chelsea registered a 1-0 win over Norwich City on Tuesday, After losing in three meetings this season, theywill be hoping for a better outcome in the FA Cup, as this is the closest they can get to winning a trophy this season. Just like United, the Blues have won six of their eight matches since football resumed, but the difference is Chelsea have two losses. They saw off Leicester 1-0 in their FA Cup quarter final game and having also eliminated Liverpool earlier, Chelsea are winless in the last six encounters but having had extra time to rest we expect that they will mount a stronger challenge.
Chelsea have failed to score once in the last eight matches while United have scored in all of their games after lockdown.
