Tottenham – Leipzig
The Champions League knockout stages kick off this week and Tottenham play host to RB Leipzig who are in contention for the Bundesliga title and have impressed strong performances in both domestic and European competition. Leipzig shot down opponents with goals from Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg. One of Europe’s most prolific scorers this season, Werner has 25 goals in all competitions.
Tottenham’s frontline Harry Kane will be missing from this midweek encounter who has since scored six goals in the group stage but is out of action until April due to an injury he picked at the start of the year. They still have Moura though and January signing Steven Bergwijn is an interesting addition to the side who scored on his debut in a victory over Manchester City. The meeting with Leipzig is a chance for Spurs to recover from their 7-2 home defeat to another German side, Bayern Munich, back in October.
