Liverpool and Reading go head to head as the Women’s Super League kicks off. the FA hoping to build on England’s World Cup semi-final run this summer, there will be plenty of eyes on all the FA WSL action this weekend.
Neither Liverpool nor Reading had a spectacular last season as they finished eighth and fifth respectively last term, and both sides will have to work hard not to get left behind with debutants Manchester United and Tottenham entering the top flight this year.

Everton’s women’s side have dropped ‘Ladies’ from their name for the 2019-20 Women’s Super League season. The team will now be known solely as Everton, and the word Women will only be added to differentiate from the men’s squad in club news and press releases.
Everton have won Women’s Premier League, Premier League Cup and FA Cup honors in that time since their formation in 1995.
Birmingham City Women are their first WSL opponents in 2019-20 on Sunday.
Arsenal Women still have the highest goalscorer in the WSL ever, Vivianne Miedema. Manchester City are basically two thirds of the Lionesses and have recently acquired World Cup Golden Boot contender Ellen White. Chelsea always finds a way to be in the Top 3 with their brilliant manager Emma Hayes and incredible resources.
