Teemu Pukki however scored a hat-trick and they thrashed Newcastle 3-1 at Carrow Road on game week two. He become the first Norwich player to score a Premier League hat-trick since Efan Ekoku in 1993.

Chelsea, have given Frank Lampard a start that he was not looking for, their season began with that 4-0 beating at Old Trafford against Manchester United. They, then went to in Istanbul for the UEFA Super Cup where they met Liverpool and lost to them on penalties.
Mason Mount opened the scoring after just nine minutes as, for the third game running, on game week two. That draw does meant that Frank Lampard is the first Chelsea manager to fail to win any of his first three games in charge since Rafa Benítez mid-way through the 2012/13 season.
