After their win against Watford last week, Everton will be looking to continue their solid start against Aston Villa.

The Toffees started with a draw away from home against Crystal Palace and a win against Watford. Aston Villa haven’t started with a loss to Tottenham, then lost to Bournemouth last weekend, to a 2-1 defeat.

The Villans first two results have been less than ideal after they lost to Bournemouth showcased that Dean Smith’s side still need to work harder. They however dominated the game in terms of possession and attempts, but the Cherries took a 2-0 lead.

Douglas Luiz scored his first for the club on the 71st minute.

It’s been a pretty solid start to the season for Everton who are yet to concede a goal, having drawn 0-0 away at Crystal Palace on the opening day.

Despite failing to score, Everton defended impressively despide being one man down due to Morgan Schneiderlin’s sending off. They have kept 10 clean sheets in 13 games.

They brought in top talent such as Alex Iwobi, Moise Kean, Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

They are still checking on the fitness of defender Lucas Digne after he was removed during the clash with Watford with a suspected injury.

Fabian Delph also missed the game against Watford due to injury, and will be hoping to return on game week three.
