2008/09 Season Review
Man Utd third straight Premier League title and their 11th overall
The start of the 2008/09 Premier League season was a new beginning for Manchester City as the Abu Dhabi United Group agreed a takeover of the club.
Mark Hughes, who was appointed as first-team manager in June 2008, squad included Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta and Robinho, who arrived from Real Madrid.
2009/10 Season Review
Chelsea – third Premier League title in a season full of goals
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid for a world-record fee and Carlos Tevez moved to rivals Manchester City, who also signed Arsenal duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure, Everton’s Joleon Lescott and Aston Villa’s Gareth Barry.
United boosted their attacking line-up with the additions of Wigan Athletic winger Antonio Valencia and former Liverpool frontman Michael Owen. Yuri Zhirkov’s moved to Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur’s had Peter Crouch and Niko Kranjcar.
2010/11 Season Review
Man Utd – 12th Premier League title
Chelsea were defending their Premier League champions for the first time since 2006/07 after ending Manchester United’s run of three consecutive titles.
2011/12 Season Review
Man City win their first Premier League title.
The Premier League entered its 20th season.
2012/13 Season Review
Man Utd win their 13th Premier League title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season
The title was sealed when Robin van Persie, who joined from Arsenal in August 2012, scored a hat-trick, including a brilliant volley from outside the box, in April.

Man City second Premier League crown in three years
Sir Alex Ferguson retired from his post at Manchester United, with David Moyes taking over the red devils.

And they become the first Premier League side to win 100 points in a season.
Mancity finished 19 points clear of Manchester United, scored 106 goals, had a goal difference of +79 and recorded 32 wins, all Premier League records.
2018/19 Season Review
Manchester City became the first team to defend the Premier League title for 10 years, and they claimed the Trophy with 98 points.
