The final could either be an all West African or North African battle, and potentially be a battle between the West and North.

Senegal is the only team that has yet to win the AFCON cup in the quartet. Nigeria have won it thrice, Algeria and Tunisia have each won it once.

Madagascar who were making their first appearance at the tournament have been impressive and took on Tunisia, who are yet to win or lose a match at the Al Salam Stadium.
Madagascar shocked fans with a 2-0 group stage victory over Nigeria, were hoping to continue the story that saw them qualify for Africa’s biggest football tournament for the first time.
Algeria vs. Ivory Coast
Algeria are through to the semi-finals of the AFCON after beating Ivory Coast on penalties 4 – 3 and will face Nigeria in the first semi-final clash.
The gamewent into extra time where Senegal thrashed Benin 1 – 0, Nigeria beat South Africa 2 – 1. The final quarter-final was between Madagascar and Tunisia.
